We interrupt your facebooking, blog reading and other scheduled events to bring you this brief blog post.

For all two of my loyal readers, I felt it necessary to check in and tell you that I AM ALIVE!  I’ve been insanely busy with lots of blog-worthy events which I could easily insert *here*.  But I’d much rather entice you with possible blog titles such as Shooting Sophie by the Railroad Tracks.  Or The Zoo and the Broken Zipper. Those last two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other but the title sounds interesting. Well, maybe for a Dr. Seuss book.

Aside from the varied events that have kept me busy lately, I’ve had lots on my mind and really, really want to blog about some of it. Really.  It’s just that between all the excitement of these events as well as laundry, Nanny-sitting Gavin, cleaning, cooking (or at least trying to keep enough groceries in the house to encourage other members of the household to make their own dinner) and being ordered around by a three-year-old bully, I find it difficult to put several coherent thoughts together.

It’s all I can do to keep this mini-post flowing.

If you haven’t heard from me here on the blog by, say, Thursday—you may want to call a fast and a solemn assembly. Seriously.  I don’t want to alarm you or anything.  But at the very least, Sophie’s nutritional needs may be at stake.

She just had a bowl of Cheddar Cheese Pringles for breakfast with some Sprite Zero. But when she asked for more I totally told her, “Sophie, you really need something more nutritional for breakfast. How ’bout an oatmeal cream pie?”
