I couldn’t put a picture of Tina fabulous without adding one of Kenneth, her other half.

As I was typing birthday posts for my sister, Ginger, and my best friend since 9th grade, Tracie, I realized that a dear friend of mine has a birthday today.

So, I picked up the phone and gave her a call….

Tina and Kenneth have been close friends to my family for a very long time.  Tina’s father was once my Pastor.  A very special man he is.  And Tina and Kenneth are as well.  Kenneth has been “part of my family” for many years.  Since I was in high school.  He’s pretty much an adopted brother.

On our way home from Cammie’s basic training graduation in Fort Jackson, we were blessed to stay with them in Georgia.  I had grand intentions after our trip to post follow-ups on some of our highlights including our stay with Tina and Kenneth.  That didn’t happen.

So, I’ll take this opportunity to do so now.

Visiting with our friends was such a blessing to all of us.  Mom and Dad had some time to catch up with Kenneth while Courtney and I spent time with Tina and her daughters, Kayla and Alyssa.  We girls all took a ride and left Sophie behind with Mom, Dad and Kenneth.  Mom called my cell cracking up.  Sophie was having trouble refraining from devouring Tina’s dish of holiday Hershey Kisses.  I told her, “NO MORE,” before I left and Mom was quick to remind her.  Sophie told her, “I LOVE chocolate.  And chocolate loves me and chocolate loves my mouth.” Good times.  Good times.

I only wish we could’ve stayed to attend church with them and our former Pastor.

Tina blessed us with not one, but three Dolce and Gabanna purses for Courtney, Cammie and me.  What an unexpected Christmas blessing!  Tina, I wonder if you realize how much that meant to me when you first blessed Courtney and let her pick out a purse.  And then had her pick one for Cammie and then ME.  You know how girls are!

We love you, Tina!  We’re looking forward to seeing you all when you come for vacation the end of  February.  CAN’T WAIT!

P.S.  I’ll tell Mom to get the baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy ready. 😉

Happy Birthday, Tina!

As I talked with you tonight, this is what came to mind:

…for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.  2 Timothy 1:12

Standing with you my friend!
