Since your antics have been the topic of many of my recent facebook posts, I thought it only fitting to dedicate this blog post to you and let you know that I’m very happy to be your Mommy.

Sometimes your strong will can test my patience but I know that God created you this way. And with His help I will try to teach you to allow your strong will to make good choices and lead others.

And although you told me you weren’t buying me a birthday present the other day when you were mad at me, I remember days before when you told me you wanted to buy me some shoes for my birthday. And that made me 42 shades of happy which is exactly how old I’ll be tomorrow.

And even though the reason you were mad at me in the first place is because I told you that you hurt my feelings because you wouldn’t share your ice cream with me but you did with Courtney—you apologized and shared the rest of our ice cream that Dad promptly took from you.

I know you love me.

You proved your deep concern for me when I was feeling weak the other day and I mentioned that I thought I might faint. You warmed my soul and made me a proud mama when you put your hand on my shoulder and said, “is your blood pressure dropping?”

You’re a special little girl and Mommy’s little Princess. I’m proud to be your Mommy. I hope one day I’ll be as smart as you.

I love you more than chocolate and peanut butter,

Mommy
