Today’s post is a devotional by Derek Sims. Derek is the middle son of Diana, one of my very best friends in this word. I’ve known him for many years now and have been so blessed to see the Lord’s work in his life. In spite of trials too great to utter here, I see him pressing through with great determination and find encouragement in his incite into God’s Word through his daily devotions. I hope you will, too.

Hebrews 10:32  ~ But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

The former days! Days gone by! Yesterday…

Looking back in our lives we see now the things we did not before. Those hard times, desert days. Forget not the Father who brought us out. Is He not faithful to bring you above and beyond? Is there anything too great for our God? NO! So why spend days to come in worry? Our Lord sees and knows all! Take the grace and strength that God has given you this day and be thankful for what you have and what God is doing in you. His eyes are ever before you and in His hands you are seated. His might surrounds you. Praise God this day. We love you, Lord.

Thank you, Derek, for this. I’m reminded to be thankful in all things and also of my mother’s words of encouragement in times of trial. She’s often said when I’ve questioned how in the world He would get me out of my current circumstance, “the same way He did last time.” And by that she meant through His Word.

Pressing through today…
